Cabin travel

Dogs and cats are not allowed in the Qatar Airways cabin regardless of size. Exceptions are trained service dogs and falcons — up to one falcon per passenger and six per aircraft in Economy, hooded and tethered.

Checked baggage (in the hold)

Pets travelling with you can go in the pressurised hold as checked baggage when pet plus crate weigh under 75 kg combined. Submit the pet travel form at least 48 hours before departure.

Fees

Approximately $350 each way for a pet up to 32 kg combined weight and about $450 up to 75 kg on most international routes. Falcon cabin tickets range from roughly $115 to $630 depending on destination.

Crate requirements

Standard IATA live-animal crate rules apply: rigid construction, metal-door, ventilation on all sides, room to stand and turn, external-fill water containers.

Breed restrictions

Brachycephalic dog and cat breeds face restrictions and summer heat embargoes through Doha; acceptance is case-by-case, so confirm before booking.
